200 hour introductory yoga teacher training

Method Yoga aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for all people to learn and put into practice the teachings of yoga. Our 200 hour program is for those students with some background knowledge and at least a 3-year yoga practice. The 200 hour program is not only for those students who wish to become teachers; the program is for anyone interested in deepening their practice as well as for prospective teachers. 

 

The purpose of the course is provide a clear structure of yogic philosophy and applications into order to help students apply this ancient wisdom to increase peace, happiness, and compassion in their daily life, while acquiring the skills to develop and teach a yoga asana class. Topics include:

 

The Mind and Emotions

Karma (cause & effect)

Love and Compassion

Interdependence

Anatomy

Somatics

Designing & Teaching Curriculum 

 

The body of the course is composed of philosophy classes, meditation sessions, and weekly asana classes, supported by somatic instructions in order to give experiential insights into the material that was presented in the classroom.

 

Class Times: 

Wednesdays: 6:30pm- 8:30pm

Sundays: 12:00pm- 2:00pm 

 

Calendar: 

 Sept 4th, 2019 - May 27th, 2020

This course is 200hrs in total over 9 months

 

In addition to the set class times, students will need to attend regular classes, workshops and series. These times are not set and therefore are up to the individual students to make sure they attend and track their hours.

 

Cost: $2,700  

$2,400 if pre-registered before July 1st

 

*Trainings will include unlimited classes at the studio.
